The Engine Zone is an award-winning and rapidly growing digital marketing agency, working in collaboration with the Milkshake Marketing Group to deliver marketing services to leading dental and veterinary practices across the country.

Based in the the beautiful village of Haddenham (just down the road from Thame and Aylesbury), our office is full of (about 15) bright, young marketing gurus all keen to make their mark in a niche marketing business.

We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic digital and social media expert to play a really important role in our digital team. You’ll have experience managing social media platforms and campaigns, either in-house or with an agency, and a passion for paid social media solutions and researching emerging trends in social media through following industry professionals, reading blogs and more.

Current Positions:

Social Media Manager

Location: Haddenham, Buckinghamshire  |  Position: Full time, permanent


  • Managing client accounts, acting as the first point of contact for all social media activity
  • Creating exceptional social media content
  • Managing PPC and Social Advertising Campaigns across the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Linkedin for our clients
  • Defining and executing great SEO strategies to drive up our clients’ web performance
  • Managing budgets to ensure effective campaign performance against KPIs
  • In-depth analysis and reporting on clients’ social media performance – not just observing data, but understanding the insights and recommendations behind it
  • Identifying social media trends and being able to apply them to clients’ accounts
  • Contributing to social media strategy with creative ideas and clever tactics to drive engagement
  • Collaborating with other departments of the business

Skills (Required):

  • At least three years’ experience managing professional social media channels
  • Strong knowledge of social media advertising tools
  • Media planning experience
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and social platform insights (including tracking pixels)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent copywriting for social media
  • Creative thinker with a good visual eye
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Skills (Desirable):

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of third party software (e.g. HootSuite, SproutSocial or equivalent) to measure the effectiveness of social activity
  • Media planning experience
